Jarad's specialty within the walls of Departika lies in web and interactive design. He is the youngest Departikan, which has made “He wasn’t born yet” a common retort to whatever 80’s pop-culture reference is being bantered around the office. He is also a lover of vintage clothing that often sparks memories of Kosmo Kramer; he calls it personal style, we call it entertaining.

Jarad strives to add a unique character, simplicity, and organization to both design and life. Although his expertise lies in creating interactive design, Jarad began his career in the trenches of “practical application of graphic design” at a national sign company where he learned how the real-world crushes passion and stifles creativity under the boot of ignorance and the bottom line. After his years with organizations he rekindled his creative passions through a short, but sweet, freelance web design adventure. During this time, he met Departika, a young, beautiful design firm that matched his ambitions, attitude and personality. He has been with them ever since, and the long walks on the beach are amazing.

Instead of sleeping, Jarad engulfs himself in hobbies. These include a number of side projects, his weblog, reading, video games, and annoying his lady friend Leah.
