The Skinny
Persistent Sisters is an ever-expanding line of women’s history trading cards created by artist Ellen Schaeffer. She was inspired to create Persistent Sisters when she found herself wishing that her daughter knew more about remarkable women in history. We were thrilled to help her get started on this incredible new journey by starting with brand strategy, positioning, and brand voice followed by a new logo.

After the branding and logo design was established, Departika created the trading card design system for the first set of cards featuring remarkable female writers, artists, explorers, activists, athletes, scientists and mathematicians.

Small things making a big impact

Coordinating packaging and swag were designed to support and promote the brand. Girls can do anything, but helps to have some pins, t-shirts and mugs to remind them of that girl power 😉
Growth
Campaigns & Promotions
The initial branding redesign resulted in Persistent Sisters raising $15,000 through a Kickstarter campaign, a wider social media reach and growth, and increased distribution into elite museum stores—which eventually lead to new trading card sets.
